Do you have one hour a month to share with residents of personal care homes, and nursing homes in Allegheny County? We are looking for volunteers who enjoy visiting with others, and helping them find answers. The answers, can make a Major Difference in their Quality of Life. You can be that Difference Maker, by joining our Team as a Volunteer Ombudsman!

The Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging Ombudsman TEAM is looking for Volunteers. We provide the training and support you will need to join our Team right away! We also welcome and are very appreciative of any volunteer support assistance including data entry and mailing. To learn more about how you can help, please contact:

Description

Allegheny County Ombudsmen are trained advocates for residents of personal care homes and nursing homes in Allegheny County who can help in the following ways in as little time as one hour, one time and month:

1. Resident/Facility Visitation

2. Consumer Education

3. Mentor/Volunteer Team Leader
