Applications are being accepted for undergraduate and graduate college students seeking a library internship at any of the five locations within the Plano Public Library System for Spring, Summer or Fall 2018. Please contact Corina Sadler at 972-941-7617 or Corinas@plano.gov with your interest.
There is also a Library Genealogy internship available. Suitable candidates will currently be earning either a bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or an equivalent, be able to work well independently, and have a strong attention to detail. Tasks will include sorting and organizing archives, creating metadata to be viewed by the public, and assisting with local historical research. This is an unpaid internship and can be used as a Practicum.

The VIP Program makes every effort to involve as many citizens as possible in the actual workings of city government.
