Snacks and desserts will put a smile on faces!

Do you enjoy working in the kitchen? Then this is the project for you! Bake brownies, cookies, cupcakes, or muffins or assemble bags of trail mix. Package these items into individual portions (one brownie, 2-4 cookies per bag). Items may not be store bought. These are perfect for families to pick up as they head to the hospital for the day. You can assemble these easily at home and deliver to the Family House anytime between 8am and 8pm.

Mission Statement

The SECU Family House on the Richard J. Reynolds, III & Marie M. Reynolds Campus provides affordable lodging in a caring environment for referred adult patients and/or their caregivers who travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., for medical treatment.

Description

The SECU Family House is a caring and compassionate alternative to sleeping in a waiting room or an expensive hotel when faced with an out-of-town medical crisis. The Family House offers an affordable place to stay, support from staff and volunteers, and an array of ammenities to help caregivers and patients get through their medical crisis. Volunteers help make the Family House "more than just a place to stay."

COVID-19 UPDATE as of 5/22/20:

The SECU Family is currently reopened for guests.

Volunteers: In order to limit the number of people coming in and out of the house, all on-site volunteering is still suspended. At this time, we are not accepting homemade baked goods. We will update our volunteer opportunities with time.
