Assist with Lan Su Chinese Garden's 2 week Chinese New Year celebration. Welcome visitors at garden entry points; Help visitors of all ages participate with simple, Chinese-inspired hands-on art activities. This busy festival sees over 10,000 people. Volunteers must be friendly, outgoing, be comfortable in relating simple instructions, work well in a busy environment, and ability to stand in the outdoors for a 2-3 hour shift.

Description

Lan Su Chinese Garden is one of Portland's treasures - a powerfully inspiring experience that takes you through time, offering a window into Chinese culture, history, and way of thinking. Opened in 2000, Lan Su is an authentic Suzhou-style classical Chinese garden with over 300 species of Chinese cultivar plants. Architecture, stone, water, and poetry complete the garden. Built with materials directly from China by Chinese garden designers and artisans, it is an oasis of nature and tranquility in the midst of the city. Lan Su is open 7 days a week for visitors to enjoy. Join our volunteer team committed to creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
