Title: SEED ELA Tutor
Purpose: The tutor would help SEED middle school students raise their reading or math scores.
Description of Duties:
Provide assistance with assignments
Help make the work relatable
Check in with students to assess their understanding of the information
Qualifications:
Patience when working with children
Strong interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm
Ability to manage stressful situations
Education background preferred
A background check
Time Requirements: Tutoring will available Monday- Thursday @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm and 6:35 pm - 7:35 pm.Tutors are required to commit two hours a week for two months minimum.
Orientation/Training: All tutors are required to take a two hour orientation and training session provided twice monthly. Orientation follows the interview, invitation, and background check.

Evaluation Procedures: An entrance and exit survey will be given to all tutors to assess the volunteer program.
Reporting Procedures: It will be the responsibility of the tutor to sign in and out accurately. Upon request, tutors will be given an update of their hours.
