Volunteer tutor works with single individuals or small groups of adult students using activities prepared by staff educators. Lessons focus on English language learning and preparation for GED exams. Volunteers work in one class per week (2.5 hours). Support and training are provided. Our students love their tutors!

Description
The Learning Lab is a computer-assisted learning center for adults and families with children ages 6 and under. Students receive English language and/or basic skills instruction including mathematics, reading, writing, spelling, GED preparation and workplace skills in a comfortable, confidential environment. Volunteer tutors assist the Adult Educator with 15-20 adult students per class. Children are enrolled in an Infant/Toddler or Preschool Program. Students are placed in a class according to their abilities and needs. All courses employ computerized, interactive learning systems.
