Lady Butterflies - 501(c)3 nonprofit organization - is looking to build a Volunteer Fundraising Event Team consisting of up to 7 individuals with the primary responsibility of planning, coordinating, directing events and activities one project at a time. The team will report to both the Executive Director and Assistant Director.

*****VOLUNTEERS MUST RESIDE IN EITHER COUNTY IN GEORGIA: GWINNETT, WALTON, ROCKDALE, NEWTON, DEKALB, CLAYTON OR FULTON******

Duties for the team:

- Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates events, to include: obtain proper permits, organize parking, traffic control, handle logistics, security, first aid, securing event locations, hospitality, coordinate staffing/volunteers, food/drink, etc..

- Prepare and manage events from start to finish, including troubleshooting and solving issues

- Schedules and maintains communication with speakers, vendors, and participants

- Assists in preparing a variety of publications, materials, and programs for events (Flyers, Hot Cards, PowerPoint, Radio, TV, Newspaper, etc....)

- Initiates, coordinates and/or participates in all efforts to publicize promotion of activities, services, and events

- Follows copying protocol (copyright law, confidentiality, and careful handling of original documents and files)

- Attends meetings as needed and/or requested

- Complies with and enforces established policies and procedures

- Acts as prime contact source for promotion of activities and events

Preferred Experience:

- Must be at least 21 years of age

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, and Social Media Sites

- Any combination of education, training, and/or experience in public relations, event planning, writing, sales

- Must be able to work and attend meetings as needed/scheduled effectively as a team

- You will need to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear, effective communication, critical thinking, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Must be able to work well under pressure, make decisions and ensure the smooth and efficient running of events

- Ability to work with minimal supervision

- Must be reliable and dedicated
