Volunteers help staff the FoodBank's Hunger Hotline and connect individuals to food sources - food pantries in their area.
Volunteers staff the Hunger Hotline Monday-Friday from 9am-Noon, 10am-1pm, 11am-2pm, Noon-3pm and 1-4pm. Training is provided to volunteers to help them navigate the database and listing of agencies so they can best assist clients.
Age requirement: 21 years and older.
Time Committment: At least twice a month
Other skills: Communication skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Feed More fights hunger in our region. we #FillMoreThanPlates. Feed More’s diverse hunger relief programs reach a wide geographic area for these neighbors in need, whether they reside in rural, suburban, or urban areas in Central Virginia.
Description
Over 250 volunteers keep Feed More running each day. We sort and replenish donations, prep and package food in the Kitchen, pack and deliver backpacks for Children's Programs, staff the food referral hotline, assist with volunteer screening, deliver meals for our Meals on Wheels program, and much more. Our volunteers are integral to our mission, and we could not do what we do without YOU!
