MEND's Education and Training Center has been offereing educational opportunities to adults who are low income, have very limited educational backgrounds, and who live in the northeast San Fernando Valley. These include English literacy, sewing training, and computer courses ranging from basis keyboarding to advanced office skills.
We are in need of volunteer computer lab instructors. By joining our team and donating as little as three hours per week, you can make a significatn difference for our students.
Searching for someone that can teach some or all of the following subjects: Basic Computer skills, Internet and Email, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Puclisher, Exell, Outlook, and Powerpoint).
Schedules vary depending on class. Classes are spread out throughout the week Tesdays-Fridays (9AM-9PM).
No teaching experience required.
