During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
The NJ Chapter of Room to Read invites volunteers to organize book swaps, destination dinners, speech events, panel discussions and community cookbook sales to promote and support Room to Read. Room to Read publishes local language children's books, teaches literacy and provides secondary education scholarships for girls. www.roomtoread.org/chapters/new-jersey/
The Room to Read New Jersey Chapter is run by local volunteers who are dedicated to improving literacy and education. This opportunity involves utilizing social media to share Room to Read milestones and updates. The bulk of the work is virtual and also requires the volunteer to attend some awareness events and chapter meetings held in New Jersey.

Room to Read Believes World Change Starts With Educated Children.
We envision a world in which all children can pursue a quality education, reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the world.
To achieve this goal, we focus on two areas where we believe we can have the greatest impact: literacy and gender equality in education. We work in collaboration with communities and local governments across Asia and Africa to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the life skills they’ll need to succeed in school and beyond.
The New Jersey Chapter of Room to Read is run by dedicated volunteers who believe in literacy and education.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
