You are invited to set up tables or activities near a major signalized intersection, which will give your group visibility as hundreds of people will be queuing up awaiting a green light. Your volunteers’ role is to stand in front of the participants with caution tape during red lights, while Tucson Police Department and Tucson Department of Transportation direct traffic. This is a great way to enjoy the day and to advertise your group or get out your message!
You will be stationed at man a 'soft’ closure at a neighborhood street along the route. You will help neighbors get in and out of their homes during the event. We encourage you to do something fun that will engage the participants and to sign up with a friend! There are morning and afternoon shifts available, so you can enjoy the event as well!
SUPER Volunteers are in charge of an information booth where information and merchandise will be available. You are the go-to person for questions about Cyclovia! You will greet and train intersection volunteers before their shift. We will have morning and afternoon shifts available so you can enjoy the event, too!
Outreach & Canvassing
Do you like taking walks? Do you like talking about Cyclovia? Then this is the job for you! Our outreach and canvassing team will be going door to door along the route informing residents and businesses of the upcoming Cyclovia coming to their area. Our canvassing team will also provide information about detours along the route and parking information. (Dates: March 26 and March 31)
