About Wallingford COMMUNITY Senior Center

4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Suite 140, Seattle, WA 98103, US

Mission Statement

WCSC builds community across generations and fosters healthy, secure, positive aging. By creating an inclusive, vibrant, age-friendly organization, we provide opportunities for social connection & support, health promotion, learning, and community involvement.

With origins as a neighborhood senior center, WCSC remains steadfastly committed to older adults and healthy aging, serving north & northeast Seattle. With changing demographics and attitudes about aging, we are broadening our reach to create a vibrant place for growing up and growing older. We help people connect, engage, and expand their horizons - with an emphasis on a supportive environment for moving through life’s transitions. We are an inclusive organization that is equally welcoming - whether a person is vulnerable or isolated, has special needs, or is active & well.

We engage the full-spectrum of our senior population and appeal to our community-at-large. Our intentionally planned programs are delivered in a community context that fosters social connections. Our portfolio includes tracks that promote:

  • Healthy Active Living
  • Technology Learning & Access
  • Social &Transition Support
  • Lifelong Learning

Volunteers play a key role in a 2-way proposition - enhancing WCSC's capacity and program strength, while also gaining enriching experiences.
