Volunteer at a comprehensive Birth-to-Five Early Childhood Program that provides case-management and school readiness for families and children to foster family sufficiency while at the same time enhancing their cognitive, social, physical and emotional development.
Assist the teaching staff by:
- Reading books to small groups of children
- Have "private time" with individiual children. Donate all your attention to one child for 10 to 15 minutes; read a story or work a puzzle
- Supervise children at outside play.
- Sit and eat with children and assist them as needed
- Ask teaching staff for specific things to do with specific children
