Are you the most organized person you know? Do you love meeting new people? Do you like to pull an event together and see the results of your work? Do you want to make a difference, but you only have a couple of hours once in a while? Or, do you have blocks of time here and there? This may be exactly what you're looking for!
Working directly with STEP's Events Manager, selected candidates engage in one or more programs designed to support service members in being financially self-sufficient, increase community awareness, increase volunteerism or increase donor participation. How engaged? Staff a table for a couple of hours, drive a truck or van to and from or jump in with both feet and manage the event from start to finish. You decide what works best for you!
Duties may include conceptualizing events/programs, community outreach, event planning and organizing, staffing booths, engaging and managing staffing of events/programs, bringing materials/supplies to events/programs, writing reports related to program management, ensuring record keeping for programs are up to date, monitoring program activities and reporting evaluation findings to the President. Example programs include: Sharing the Joy, Spring Baby Drive, Military Family Appreciation Carnival, Wounded Warriors Caregivers, Financial Planning Events and more.
