Adult volunteers needed to learn how to prevent and confront child sexual abuse by attending a Stewards of Children training. Not your typical volunteer activity but we think educating adults on how to protect a child is the best use of your volunteer time.
Sexual abuse thrives on our discomfort in naming it - and the culture of silence gives power to perpetrators. Child abuse is entirely preventable; but we can't do it alone.
Training is 2 hours long and currently offered for free thanks to a generous foundation grant. Stewards of Children trainings can take place anywhere in the Greater Cincinnati region that is convenient for volunteers.

Description
Family Nurturing Center provides child abuse treatment, prevention and education services to children and families.
Programs include child abuse treatment individual and group counseling, social and healthy coping skills, nurturing parenting groups, education training on the prevention of shaken baby syndrome, Stewards of Children adult education program on prevention of child sexual abuse, supervised visitation, the Kids on the Block puppet show teaching children how to recognize, resist and report abuse.
