Members of the lunch crew are an incredibly important part of the building process and are greatly appreciated by our volunteers and construction staff. Members of the lunch crew provide food, beverages and paper products for approximately 30 volunteers on any scheduled build day. These meals should be wholesome, filling, and convenient to eat on site.
Providing lunch for one house (30 volunteers) is worth 10 hours of community service for school, church or work.

Description
Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio was the first U.S. partner affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are proud to say we built the first Habitat home in the United States have continued to build over the past 42 years for a total of 1,063 homes built in Bexar County!
Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio works with low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a house. We partner with families in need and help them build affordable houses for themselves at no interest and no profit. We are not a charity or a "hand out" program, but rather we help families help themselves.
in 2018, we plan to build 50 houses for San Antonio families in need. We can't do this alone- over 13,500+ volunteers will partner in construction with us this year to showcase the true meaning of community and compassion.
Habitat builds more than homes, we build stronger, safer, healthier communities right here in San Antonio!
