Peoplefirst Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Massage Therapist to provide hands-on comfort to our hospice patients! Peoplefiirst Hospice Patients are locted in Marion, Morgan, Putnam Johnson, Shelby, Madison, Hendricks, Hancock, Hamilton and Boone counties. They reside in their homes, Assisited Living Communities and Health Care Facilities. After your initial interview, we will provide the volunteer training and assign a hospice patient to you in your area. Our focus to our hospice patients is to provide comfort care with additional services, including Aromatherapy, Pet Therapy, Music Support, A Vet to Vet support program and Massage Therapy. Please share your time and unique service to make a positive difference in the life of a hospice patient!

Our mission is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people who have life-limiting illness. We seek to relieve pain and prevent suffering as well as assist in completion of end-of-life tasks that are important to the patient. We also support the family and other loved ones through education and counseling and through bereavement care.
Description
The volunteers are an essential part of the Kindred Hospice Team! They make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients and families by sharing their time and talents. The volunteers may make friendly visits, read to the patients, listen to their stories and hold a patient's hand for comfort. The volunteer may share a friendly pet, their musical talents or massage therapy to provide companionship and socialization. Volunteers may also share their office skills in an office setting by filing and bereavement mailings. By bringing an open heart and a willingness to learn and grow, the Kindred hospice volunteers make a difference on the lives of others, one person at a time.
