Mission Statement
Provide sports-based youth development to help boys and girls in Chicago’s under-resourced neighborhoods develop confidence, resilience, and life skills.
Description
Lost Boyz Inc. is a not-for-profit organization with a common interest in community development in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Our efforts are directed towards revitalizing organized sports, fostering learning and innovation in our youth, promoting public safety, and stimulating local economics.
Lost Boyz currently serves approx. 120 girls and boys ages 4-17 through our MVP Youth Baseball & Softball Program. This program is divided into three components - Fall Ball, Winter Clinic, and Spring Training/League Play - spanning 10 months (January-October). Recognizing the importance of continuing development through young adulthood, Lost Boyz also provides additional social, educational, and professional opportunities for up to 40 individuals aged 16-24 under our Successful Youth Leaders Program.
Our programs help to promote discipline and social skills within our participants, while also keeping each youth involved in a positive, non-violent activity.
