CHILD ADVOCATES NEEDED. Can you make a profound difference in the life of an abused or neglected child? Yes you can! The Guardian ad Litem Program empowers everyday citizens to help children find a safe permanent home, no previous experience in this field is required, just a desire to help abused children. There are children right now, in need of a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer who will fight for abused children's rights. Our vision is to ensure a trusted, empowered advocate for EVERY child. How do you find out about becoming a Child Advocate? We offer a one hour orientation/introduction to the Guardian ad Litem Program on a monthly basis.

**You must be at least 21 years of age**Be able to Volunteer at least 8-10 hours a month**be a full-time resident**Have computer knowledge**be able to pass a background check and be invited by the program to attend our training.

All volunteers are provided with a mentor (a seasoned Guardian ad Litem Volunteer) who will work with you for at least one month after training. In Collier County we have many spouses, friends, and mother daughter teams who attend our orientation and training together and work on cases together. You are invited to attend the Guardian ad Litem one hour orientation or introduction where you can ask questions and learn about our program. Contact Donna for information.

Mission Statement

Guardian ad Litem Volunteers ,speak up for abused, neglected and abandoned children who live in our area. Volunteers are supported by staff,and a mentor who will help you to advocate for our most vulnerable children in court, the child welfare system and the community. If you are a full time Florida resident, at least 21 years old, with 8-10 hours monthly to Volunteer, Attend our next information session where the exact duties and time required will be discussed. We follow all COVID 19 safety guidelines... Volunteer opportunities and training is currently conducted via ZOOM. We want to keep you and the children we work with SAFE! Guardian ad Litem is know in some states as CASA for Children
You can change the story of a child that has been abandoned, abused or neglected.
Help us Advocate for Abused Children in Collier County.
