Grandcare Hospice is seeking Spanish speaking volunteers with a special heart to provide an individualized unique service to patients facing life's end. We are in need of you to reach our Spanish speaking patients and their families.

Patient care volunteers provide emotional support, companionship, practical support, active listening and social stimulation. Volunteer visits take place in the patient's home.

Volunteer activities include: active listening, watching t.v., listening to music, reading to patient, writing letters, engaging them in conversation, life review and scrapbooking.

The impact, the difference and the sincere appreciation the patients and family will show you is priceless. If you are looking for an opportunity like this I would love to hear from you.

Volunteers receive a free comprehensive training and are supported 24/7 by myself the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers are placed with a patient close to their home.

A TB test, background check and drug screen are required and are given at no cost to the volunteer by Grandcare. The training is also free. There is no milegae reimbursement. This is truly a "work from the heart" type of opportunity.
