After School Child Care programs for children and youth ages 5-11 are provided at four youth center locations (see below) throughout the Town, for youth who attend school in the Town of Amherst. The afterschool program operates from September through June on Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 5:30 PM. An extended afternoon program from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM is available.
Special weekly activities, including cooking, educational games, exercise and group activities are offered through the program. Children are encouraged to develop new skills in an atmosphere of fun and fair play. A nutritious, healthy snack will be provided for all program participants each day.
