IWT, INC. is raising money to open a community soup kitchen and emergency shelter, the soup kitchen and the shelter will be inside of the same facility, are fundraising project to raise the money to open the soup kitchen and the shelter is by delivery products to companys and residents. IWT, INC. is partnerd with a Distributor Carrier Company that contracts other businesses to delivery products to other companies and residences, the volunteer opportunity for this project pays the volunteer from $300.00 to $400.00 a week, your assignment will be to drive our company van with someone from IWT, INC. and you"ll will deliver packages to companys and residences in new york, this project is for three to four months and can be ongoing. If you want to add another good deed to your agenda for helping a charitable organization achieve there mission well this opportunity is for you. The volunteer for this project must have a good drivering record and must know how to get around new york flexibly, and have the ability to left from 25 to 50 pounds, this is a chance to meet new people and gain new contacts. The (iwt) food work of chicago fights food poverty in chicago with an integrated approach and including food distribution direct services,education and nutrition education,financial empowerment and research,(iwt) food work thrives to asist adults and family's who are in crisis and people who are homeless in the state of illinois,the (iwt) food work was founded in 2009 with the goal to get large quanities of food to local organizations serving the poor throughout chicago.There are 3.3 million chicagoans who experience difficulty affording food,that's a astounding number and one that continues to increase as the donated food supply drops to an all-time low and food costs sky rocket,to address this issue,the (iwt) food work procure and distributes food to a network of approximately 1.000 food assistance programs city wide,in addition we provide food safety and capacity-building workships,manage school nutrition education programs,after school and emergency food programs,conduct a food stamp prescreening and outreach service,opearate a soup kitchen,food pantry,rehabilitation shelter and develop policy and conduct research to inform communitys and government efforts to end food poverty through out chicago.
