Want to help a person with developmental disabilities lead a full and vibrant life? Serra Center (www.serracenter.org) is looking for volunteers who are committed and caring individuals to join our team of exceptional staff in delivering quality services to residents in homes and apartments from Oakland to Livermore (whatever area you're closest to - not the entire region). The ideal candidate is willing to perform duties that include one or more of the following: money management, assistance with public benefits, home organization, accessing public resources, self-care and nutrition, appointment errands, and help the clients to identify social activities.

Part-Time & Full Time Openings. Applicants must be willing to commit to at least a six month to 1 year commitment. Shifts vary. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a Department of Justice background. Prior experience working with the intellectually disable population is a plus.

Description

We provide residential and support services to adults with developmental disabilities.

Our four group homes (ICF-DD/H facilities) are located in Fremont, CA. Six clients live in a group home with 24 hour, 7 day a week staffing.

The ILS and SL program offer services to clients in their own homes.
