Seasonal chores!
We are looking for friendly volunteers to assist with light outdoor chores that arise as our seasons change. Raking leaves and cleaning out gutters, snow shoveling and treating for ice, pruning bushes or flower beds and changing or washing windows are just a few of the things our volunteers can help with that make such a difference for someone wishing to stay in their home for as long as possible!

Volunteer Opportunities on our waiting list now are:

Seasonal Chores (raking, cleaning out gutters and snow removal/treatment within 24 hrs of a weather event) this is a great way for an individual, family or group to participate! Bring your rake or tools; some may be available at volunteering site.

Shopping and Errands (shopping with your match or from their list OR providing transportation for your match to do errands for medical, home or personal trips) Online Grocery order pick-up and delivery to participants, carrying food into home if needed.

Visiting (spending time with someone in their home or out in the community doing fun activities or participating in our fun outreach programs)

"Causeway Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers connects people with needs to people who care for ongoing supportive connections. Causeway provides volunteer and community services to the elderly and adults with disabilities allowing them to maintain independence and dignity."

Description

Flexible, ongoing volunteering oportunities is what Causeway has provided in La Crosse County since 1986, but volunteers are welcomed from all our surrounding counties. Individual, Stident, Family, Groups are welcomed. Causeway is proud of our history and look forward to hearing from you!

COVID-19 has impacted our outreach but people need our help more than ever in food security and transportation for needs!
