The American Liver Foundation participates in health fairs throughout the year in Phoenix and surrounding communities. We are looking for 2-4 engaging volunteers who enjoy networking and forming relationships with other organizations or community partners. Volunteers are needed for 2-4 hours per event. Health fairs take place during weekdays and weekends, times and dates tbd. Arrangements will be made for volunteers to pick up materials from the office or for an ALF employee to drop them off. Responsibilities include:

  • Table/Display set-up
  • Providing information to people who stop by the table/display and help to distribute and share brochures about liver health
  • Pack-up table/display materials and arrange for their return to the American Liver Foundation

Description

The American Liver Foundation - Desert Southwest Division runs programs and events throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah. The goal is to reach the community to provide education and support through school presentations, free educational conferences, free Hepatitis testing at events and health fairs, and support groups. Now that we are facing a "virtual reality", we are seeking volunteers to help us with various upcoming programs, including educational events, fundraising galas, and projects.
