Volunteer Basketball Coaches
Do you love kids and sports? Well, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. City of Mesa Youth Sports is looking for volunteer coaches for our basketball league. Our league focus on having fun, teaching the proper fundamentals and skills, being active and understanding the importance of physical activity, learning to play as a team, and developing good sportsmanship. Coaches will be responsible for attending and running one practice each week in addition to one game a week. Practice day and time will determined by the coach and space availability. Coaches will be the main contact with parents and players and should have great communication skills. Coaches are asked to commit to the entire season.

League Information:
*Saturdays, January 6-March 10
*Game times will be between 9:30am-4:30pm at Webster Recreation Center (202 N. Sycamore, Mesa) or Eagles Community Center (828 E. Broadway Road Mesa)
*Practices begin the week of January 8. 1-2 days Monday-Friday in evening.
Coaching Requirements:
*Complete volunteer application, web based background check, fingerprints, and City ID badge by Wednesday, December 13 at noon.
*Attend the mandatory volunteer coach training on Saturday, January 6 from 8-11am at Webster Recreation Center.
