Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County’s Operation Bigs is a one-to-one mentoring program for military children, which provides an extra layer of support to local military families.

Volunteers meet with their Little Brothers and Little Sisters for one hour one day a week (times and dates are the same every week) at the child's school. During that hour the volunteer and child play games, sports, and do other fun activities together, while building a friendship.

Operation Bigs serves four schools on Camp Pendleton, the need for caring, committed mentors to support the children of those who defend our country remains urgent. We are currently recruiting civilian, retired, & active military adult volunteers - come join them! It's a great way to make a difference in a child's life while having fun at the same time!

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to commit to the program for one calendar year. For more information, contact the Operation Bigs Hotline at (858) 746-9173 or email at OpBigs@sdbigs.org.
