Volunteers will clean, test, and repair Talking Book players and other special audio equipment used by people who are visually impaired or have print disabilities. Volunteers should have some knowledge of electronic devices down to the sub-assembly and wiring/cable level. Must be able to use hand tools and follow cleaning and testing protocols. No soldering skills needed.
All tools and supplies will be provided. Hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. It is possible that some or all of the work could be done at home.

Description
State Services for the Blind is a division of the MN Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). We provide vocational rehabilitation, promote independent living, create accessible media, and offer many other services for people who are blind or visually impaired.
