Our Thrift Shop raises money to support our mission of rescuing homeless Boxers (dogs). 100% of the proceeds go to the dogs. Shop workers help sort incoming goods, place merchandise, organize, assist customers. The shop has lots of 'regulars' and has a great relationship with the neighboring community. Low stress environment with a fun and congenial team. Flexible hours. No experience necessary. The shop supports our animal rescue’s fundraising goals. Luv-To-Save Thrift Shop volunteers help sort, organize, and merchandise incoming donations. Merchandise is priced and placed on the floor, with the need to organize, stage and maintain the display areas. Off season and other donations are packed for storage and subsequent retrieval. Volunteers also assist customers and donors and perform cashier functions. There are some 'back office' functions such as listing merchandise on various websites for sale, and administrative functions. Some functions can be performed from home. We also have a need for ad hoc support from individuals with truck or similar vehicles to assist in donation pickups or transfer to and from a close by storage facility.

We accept teenagers 15 years and older, and younger with parental accompaniment. We will also provide needed documentation to acknowledge hours served to satisfy various school, career development and related community service projects. We also happily work with companies who would like to volunteer service as corporate volunteer projects. The shop is well suited to volunteers of all ages, as there are tasks that can be performed with either high or low physical activity. We do have some minimums with regard to volunteer time engagements, depending on the age of the volunteer.

If you are interested to volunteer, it would be helpful if you could include a note to indicate if you are volunteering for specific community service requirements and if so, how many hours need to be satisfied and if you are under 18 years of age.

Our store is open Wed-Friday, 11-4 and Saturday 10-5pm.
