Are you a compassionate person who cares about the quality of life? Do you have at least 4 hours a month to share with someone in need? Hospice Touch Volunteers provide companionship, caregiver relief and socialization to our patients by writing letters, playing cards, sharing music and photos, or just visiting. Its about being a friend. Patients are currently in need of friendly visitors, especially in the Huntington Beach area. We all need someone. Come join our Volunteer team. You will truly get more than you give. (All volunteers must successfully complete the orientation, background check and health screeinngs provided by Hospice Touch).

Description
Remita Health provides end of life care to persons who can no longer benefit from curative treatment. The typical hospice patient has a life expectancy of six months or less. Most receive care at home. Some reside in nursing homes or assisted living. Services are provided by a team of trained professionals-physicians, nurses,counselors,therapists, social workers, aides and volunteers- who provide medical care and support services not only to the patient, but to the patient's family and loved ones.
