Communities In Schools afterschool programs are in need of volunteers to tutor or assist with homework in various subject areas (math, reading, science, social studies). Select whatever subject you are most comfortable with and help a student become more successful in the classroom. Tutors are needed between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00. One hour turtoring session. Times may vary.

The philosophy of CIS is based on the idea of keeping students in school by directly addressing all of the problems and concerns that cause the child not to do well in school or consider dropping out. CIS’s comprehensive programs provides students with the opportunity to overcome obstacles thus making it easier for them to stay in school, successfully learn, and prepare for life.
