The Salvation Army, with the help of the community of New York, offers social services and specialized programs addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of families, individuals, children and elderly community members alike. These services include: Emergency Disaster situations, homeless programs, soup kitchens, community center programs, homework centers, Christmas assistance, and more.
Our services are funded by donations made through the Christmas Kettle Campaign. We are looking for upstanding citizens to help in our efforts to meet the human needs throughout our community. Volunteers will be assigned a kettle location and will "man" that station (possibly with other volunteers) for their allotted time period. Scheduling is flexible and include weekend opportunities. Whether you can volunteer for 1 day, 2 weeks or the month long campaign, we are interested in YOU!
LOCATIONS: All over the Greater New York area.
