Our Western Maryland Walk will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at Baker Park. With over 300 attendees, we need all the help we can get! It's more than a walk, it's a celebration event for the community and the families battling against ALS.
As a volunteer you will assist with event set up and break down, overseeing booths such as: the kid's zone, food tent, registration tent, etc. As well as, assist with some hands on tasks such as: serving on our cheering team, face painting for kids, distributing t-shirts and food, etc.
Our ALS Walk to Defeat ALS signature program helps raise funds and awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) which is commonly known at Lou Gehrigs Disease. More than just a few-mile trek, the Walk to Defeat ALS is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS and to come together for something you care about. Thanks to the funds raised by this signature program our chapter is able to sustain FREE care services and programs for over 600 individuals and military veterans living with ALS and their families.
