Due to COVID -19 and in response to keeping all staff, volunteers and people in crisis safe we are canceling Common Grounds Monthly orientation. All group screenings and Sprint training sessions are postponed until further notice.
Our crisis telephone, chat and text line (1.800.231.1127) offers compassionate, non-judgmental and confidential support, information and referrals. Common Ground's crisis line depends on the dedication of our volunteers. Our crisis line volunteers strengthen our communities and builds support for those in crisis. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to build a strong and healthy community, contribute to the well being of their neighbors, coworkers, and friends and improve the quality of life for people in crisis.
"Ten years ago, I decided I needed to volunteer where I would have person - to- person contact and hopefully, make a difference in someone's life. I found this at Common Ground. When a crisis call ends and I hear the relief in the caller's voice, I feel that I have done my job and accomplished my goal of making a difference in someone's life." Crisis Line Volunteer
We host an informational orientation the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM. Stop in to the Resource and Crisis Center to find out more about volunteering to Help People Move From Crisis To Hope.
