VITAS Innovative Hospice Care is looking for harpist and harpers to help provide terminally ill patients and their families comfort and support in an inpatient unit setting. The effects of the harp music go far beyond the pleasure of listening to music. Patients find peace, comfort, joy and relaxation. Families find that the musical experience provides a positive, shared event with the patient.
VITAS provides training on how to work with people at the end of life. The volunteer provides talent, compassion and time.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes.
