Valley Opportunity Council
A Volunteer Tutor works with an Instructor to provide one-on-one and small group assistance to adults and out-of-school youth enrolled in the program. Your main role will be to provide assistance with the development of reading, writing and math skills and/or provide assistance with speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English to adults whose primary language is not English. Volunteers need to be flexible, patient, and respectful, but do not need to have prior teaching experience.
