Volunteer Lead Photographer

We are looking for someone who is passionate about photography to take on the role of Lead Photographer. We host various events throughout the year and need a keen photographer to help us take photos and build albums that will be utilized for PR purposes. This volunteer opportunity is for our upcoming event Pushkin Day on Saturday, October 19th, with the possibility of turning into a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with the Marketing Director in anticipation of public events requiring photographing
- Take unique photos at events and assist in the photo selection process
- Provide assistance in the marketing effort as appropriate

*Must be available on Saturday, October 19 from 4-6pm.

FACTR strives to recognize the talents of these newcomers and afford them opportunities to share these talents in their new settings. Our holistic approach focuses on strengthening families and the community through one-on-one services, workshops, community programs and events. Built by a skilled team of professional counselors, social workers, and immigration experts, FACTR is dedicated to helping families adjust and thrive in their new surroundings.

Description

The specific purpose of this corporation is for service, research and training:

  1. To provide counseling, psycho- educational services and cultural awareness programs for newcomer families and their children that is respectful of ethnic values and diverse views, including State Laws pertaining to Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Educational, Immigration and other areas.
  2. To provide a setting for professionals who work with stressed families in newcomer and other circumstances to gain knowledge and skills to help them be effective in their work.
  3. To develop a knowledge base for dissemination of practices, methods and concepts for use in the broad mental health and Social Services field.
