Become a positive force to young men ages 10-17 by sharing your knowledge, skills, and time. Spend time with youth playing basketball, canoeing, or riding bikes, host a bbq or movie night, teach a life skills class, or assist staff during meal times.
The Lighthouse Youth Development Center is a residential treatment facility. This facility houses up to 16 young men ages 10-17 who are in the child welfare system. Your time spent volunteering will help to provide these youth with a role model to look to for guidance and support.
Volunteers must be 18 or older.

Description
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services helps young people in need heal and grow.
Lighthouse offers an integrated system of care for youth ages 0-24, including emergency shelter, foster care and adoption, mental and behavioral health services, residential treatment., community juvenile justice services, youth housing, and OhioRISE, a specialized managed care program for youth with complex behavioral health and multisystem needs. The Lighthouse team meets the individual needs of each young person and focuses on their strengths as they work to meet their goals. Lighthouse provides inclusive and affirming care for all young people, and every young person and family are treated with dignity and respect.
Leading the effort to end youth homelessness in Cincinnati, Lighthouse is the only local organization focused on serving young people experiencing homelessness and provides Cincinnati’s first and only local emergency shelter for ages 10-17.
Every night, approximately 400 young people sleep under a Lighthouse roof.
