Our AYM (Assisting Young Mothers) program is for homeless pregnant and parenting teens and their children.
Volunteers come to help prepare meals and share the meal with the residents, engage with the mothers and their children offering encouragement and support, and play with the ADORABLE children while the mothers attend parenting education groups, work, or school. Opportunities available daily. (Childcare only.)
Duties may include light cleaning, organizing, child care (optional)

There are background checks which cost $40.
It is also required that volunteers attend an Open Door Information Session.
Our Open Door Information Sessions are for 1 hour...seriously, no more than one hour, and are held the SECOND TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH at 10:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. You will have the opportunity to hear personal stories, tour our Emergency Shelter for Teenagers and ask any questions you may have. We are located near Tysons Corner Mall at:
2100 Gallows Rd.
Vienna, VA 22182.
(We will not ask anyone to give financially or otherwise.)
