Speak Up! For Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc. is a registered Florida 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2008 to secure additional financial support to help fund programs and direct services for the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program of the 15th Judicial District.

For Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc. to fund programs and critical initiatives not funded due to budget constraints or annual budget cut-backs.

All monies raised by Speak Up! For Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc. are restricted for the GAL Program. The GAL Program is a member of National CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and is one of the 20 GAL Programs within the State of Florida. Each GAL Program has a dedicated non-profit organization established to secure additional funding.

Guardians ad Litem (GALs) are trained, court-appointed volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who are abused, neglected, or abandoned and who are involved in dependency court proceedings. Children deserve and should have a voice in their lives and their futures. GALs are the children's voice in Court.

About Guardian Ad Litem Program - 15th Judicial Circuit

Location:

Palm Beach County Courthouse, 205 North Dixie Hwy, Suite 5.1130, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, US

Mission Statement

The mission of the Guardian ad Litem program is to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courts. We promote and support quality volunteer representation for children to provide each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

Description

In the US each year, more than half a million abused and neglected children are in need of safe, permanent, nurturing homes. That's where Guardian ad Litem steps in. As trained advocates, Guardian ad Litem volunteers are appointed by Judges in the Juvenile Dependency System to be a voice for these children in court. The goal is for each child to be placed into a safe, loving home where he/she can thrive. It is the Guardian ad Litem program vision to provide a volunteer for each and every abused and neglected child who needs one. We are also known as the "CASA" (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program in some states across the US.
