Ever painted with a parrot? At Midwest Avian Adoption and Rescue Services in St. Paul, MN our volunteer staff are always looking for new ways to enrich the lives of our 70 parrots. We were inspired to offer birds at our sanctuary the opportunity to paint by the work of other captive wildlife sanctuaries and rescues.
MAARS is the oldest avian rescue organiztion in the midwest and was formed in 1999 to address the growing number of displaced parrots whose need for care, rehabilitation and sanctuary were not being addressed in a typical shelter setting. If you can volunteer 4 hours a week to help care for these intelligent and amazing creatures, we would like to meet you.
Please check our facebook page at facebook.com/maarsbirds to see some of their paintings and awesome volunteer photos!
