The most cost-effective response to any health crisis is prevention. These volunteers are preferrably 21 or older and will be in charge of condom and safer sex packet distribution to a network of local businesses and organizations within Pierce County. Every Tuesday, these volunteers will pick up supplies at PCAF and travel to various the locations to distribute condoms. This volunteer opportunity requires availability Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm.
- Pick up materials from PCAF office
- Distribute materials to network of local businesses and organizations throughout Pierce County
- Preferrably 21 or older
- Comfortable with topics of sexuality, sexual orientation, and sexually transmitted diseases
- Must have a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance
Commitment: Distribution happens every Tuesday from 4pm-6pm. Volunteers are encouraged to commit to at least one month.
Training: All PCAF volunteers must attend New Volunteer Orientation and complete a criminal background check.
Benefits: Volunteers will gain knowledge about HIV/AIDS and safer sex practices; satisfaction from ensuring access to safer sex materials thorughout the community.
