RSVP Volunteer Caregivers- Provide Neighborly Companionship

RSVP Volunteer Caregivers are needed in Trempealeau and Buffalo County to provide practical assistance to people in their own communities -- a simple concept, which is taking hold across the state and across the country. Many older adults and disabled individuals who want to remain independent and at home are not able to do so simply because they cannot manage basic day to day tasks. Things like driving, grocery shopping, errands, household chores, and yard chores are beyond the scope of their physical capabilities. Loneliness is a common problem. Because Western Wisconsin is largely rural and because families have a tendency to move away, many elderly people are isolated. Add to that the fact that many older and disabled individuals can no longer drive, and the problem is magnified.
Western Dairyland's RSVP Volunteer Caregivers Program connects adults age 55 and over with meaningful volunteer service in communities throughout Trempealeau county. The opportunity posted above is just one of hundreds of opportunities!
