Help an adult gain the communication skills they need to improve their lives. You and your learner decide when, where and how often you will study, one-on-one. Call or email the Humboldt Literacy Project today, and sign up for our next tutor orientation! We strongly encourage remote work via internet, telephone, and cameras. Humboldt residents will be given priority in assignments, thank you for understanding.

Mission Statement

The mission of Humboldt Literacy Project is to teach Humboldt County adults the literacy skills they need to function on the job, in the family, and in the community.

Description

We provide confidential, one-on-one literacy tutoring to adults in Humboldt County, California. All tutors are volunteers from the community who have completed Humboldt Literacy Project training. We highly encourage our literacy tutors to commit to one year of volunteering.
