Children's Restoration Network's Project One on One began in 1999 in attempts to aid Atlanta's homeless
children by pairing them with caring, supportive adults willing to
help them with their academics and personal goals. Through our
efforts, countless homeless children have been given the necessary
encouragement and services to improve their performance and attitudes
about school.
CRN firmly believes that a good education is the key to breaking the
cycle of homelessness, and Project One on One helps children to set
goals for themselves, stay in school, keep up with their work, and
reach new academic heights.
Currently, we have tutoring sites at twenty-seven Atlanta area
locations including in Atlanta, College Park, Decatur, Dunwoody, Ellenwood, Jonesboro, Lithonia, Midtown, and Stone
Mountain. Children’s Restoration Network also works with other
organizations throughout 20 Metro-Atlanta counties, so there are other
possibilities if none of the sites on our site map are a good fit.
All tutoring sessions are held at the shelter or group home. Tutors
spend an hour and a half once a week in the evening with a child
living in a group home or shelter (times vary depending upon
location). Tutors generally assist the child with math or reading
skills, work on homework and school work, and work with other
educational assessments, tools, and resources to help the child
develop and improve key academic skills. We certainly encourage you
to bring any materials as well that you feel would be helpful to the
child.

Mission Statement
Children's Restoration Network (CRN) offers hope and support, enabling children and their mothers to break the cycle of homelessness by empowering them to become part of mainstream society as active productive citizens: and through programs and special events designed to address their academic, emotional, and physical needs.
Description
Our vision is to form effective community partnerships to cultivate the restoration of a positive family environment for homeless children. As a non profit agency, our focus is on the plight of homeless children in our community. In addition to meeting basic needs, CRN conducts special events to provide a broad range of positive experiences for the children and their mothers to promote healthy and happy community interaction. Since 1993, CRN has dedicated its efforts to fulfilling its vision and mission statement currently working with over 120 shelters and group homes throughout metro Atlanta. CRN also provides homeless children and mothers with basic necessities such as providing food and subsidizing rent and utilities, for shelters supplementing their food pantries, and providing furniture, housewares and other assistance for families recovering from homelessness.
