Do you enjoy working with school age children and teens? If you do we have a great opportunity. The Belle Cooledge Library hosts an after school homework program every Thursday, from 3:30 to 5pm. Local teens act as coaches to elementary school students who drop in to get help with their school work. The Homework Zone Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a welcoming place for students to do their homework, providing general oversight and direction for the program which includes room logistics (set up/clean up) ensuring teen coaches are matched with students and ensuring homework zone attendance records are completed. The Homework Zone follows the school calendar observing school closures for holidays and breaks. We request a commitment through the end of the current school year or June 2017.
