Volunteers work one-on-one with low-income seniors in Arlington to help them plan and follow monthly budgets as well as enroll in benefit programs that allow them to live independently. Duties include: counseling clients on how to plan and maintain a monthly budget on a tight fixed income; helping clients organize, read and pay their bills on time and on budget; acting as a liaison between the client and banks, credit card companies and other financial institutions; and providing guidance, care and friendly support to lift their spirits. Volunteers must be fluent in Spanish and be available Tuesdays or Thursdays for a half-day shift between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
