We are in great need of male volunteers to serve this population and be positive adult role models to the boys in our program. Please consider giving just a few hours of your time each week to make a lifelong difference to a child. Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers who are appointed by the Family Court to advocate in the best interest of young adults and youth in foster care. CASA volunteers are trained to be a voice for children who are in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect. Unfortunately boys make up a larger percentage of the children in care and stay longer than girls. Passaic County CASA supervises and provides support for volunteers as we work towards the common goal of improving the lives of foster children. Currently, over 500 children are waiting for a volunteer to speak up for them and to ensure that they don't fall between the cracks of the system. Visit for more information
