The Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department is always actively recruiting for volunteers to serve with our department. We are looking for Associate Members - of all ages, who work with hall functions, fund raising, book keeping, historical research, web design, statistical reporting, and more, associates support the department in all functions except firefighting and emergency medical care. Cadets - those who are 12 to 15 years of age and want to learn about the fire department, they participate in all functions of the fire department except actual firefighting and emergency medical responding. Firefighter / Emergency Medical Technicians, ages 16 and up after a background check and physical the candidates will begin firefighter and emergency medical training. All equipment and training are free of charge. Emergency Medical Technician Only - for those who do not desire to participate in firefighting activities there is the opportunity after a background check and physical to participate with the fire department as an Emergency Medical Technician Only, all background checks, training and equipment are provided free of charge. We have opportunities for all of our members to participate in Santa Runs (taking Santa through the neighborhoods), our annual awards banquet, yearly state and county conventions, tax incentives with 3 years of service, Length of Service Award program for 25 years of service and age 55 earns a monthly retirement.
