Troop Leaders: Guide girls to be tomorrow's leaders

Every girl, from our youngest to our oldest, has the ability to lead. As a Troop Leader or Assistant Troop Leader, you will be providing our girls the free and safe environment they need to pursue whatever interests, causes, and leadership roles are most important to them. With your support, girls will stand up, stand out, and stand tall. Girl Scout Heart of Michigan volunteer opportunities are tailored to fit your calendar and your interests. Whether you want to work with five-year-olds or high school seniors, we will provide you with all of the training and support you will need to be successful in your role as a Troop Leader or Assistant Troop Leader. You can participate with girls directly.
Camp. Share your appreciation of nature. Hike. Bike. Canoe. You can camp by day or overnight.
Events. Have high energy but limited availability? Choose your favorite topics and help girls unleash their potential.
Series. Love the environment? Building a business? Marine biology? Meet with girls 6 to 8 times sharing your passion and knowledge in a way that fits your schedule.
Travel. Expand girls’ horizons. Whether you help plan a trip across the state or around the world, you’ll all remember the adventure forever.
Troop. Partner with girls who meet regularly as they share amazing experiences and make a difference in their community and the world.
Or, you can get involved "behind the scenes."
Administrative. Manage, support and recognize volunteers in your community.
Council Committee. Assist in council-wide Girl Scout operations.
Learning Facilitator. Coordinate learning opportunities.
Fund Development. Promote and advance the Girl Scout movement through family and corporate donations, or participate in a fund raising event committee.
